Tazewell is the seat of Tazewell County, set in a long limestone valley below the Clinch Mountains and not far from the storied Pocahontas coal heritage area. The Crab Orchard Museum on the edge of town walks visitors through ten thousand years of Appalachian history, from the prehistoric peoples who hunted along the Clinch to the railroad and coal era that shaped the modern county. Just southeast, Burke’s Garden, often called ‘God’s Thumbprint’ for its perfect oval ringed by mountains, is one of the highest valleys in Virginia and a beloved drive on a clear day.

From Tazewell, the trip to our Lebanon offices is roughly forty minutes by way of Route 460 and Route 19, a familiar route for many of our Tazewell County clients. We see adults, teens, and children ages 7 and older for outpatient counseling, EMDR therapy, marriage and family work, and psychiatric medication management with our nurse practitioner.
