  1. 01

    Referral & Initial Contact

A referral from a treating provider is required before scheduling. Once your referral is received, our office will contact you with instructions for accessing the patient portal. Referrals may be faxed to (276) 880-0036.

  2. 02

    Complete Your Paperwork

New patient paperwork is completed securely through our online portal. If you do not have internet access, alternative arrangements can be made; just let us know.

  3. 03

    Insurance Verification

Our office will verify insurance benefits and obtain authorization if required before scheduling your appointment. We will let you know what your plan covers up front.

  4. 04

    Initial Appointment

During your first appointment, your provider will discuss your concerns, goals, history, and treatment options in a supportive, nonjudgmental setting. There is no rush.

  5. 05

    Ongoing Care

Your provider will work collaboratively with you to create an individualized treatment plan focused on your needs and goals.

In a mental health emergency

Pioneer Counseling Center does not provide crisis stabilization or emergency psychiatric services. If you or someone you love is in crisis, call 911, go to your nearest emergency department, or call/text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
